The image above is a sample of what we don’t want to use in our printing processes. There is a thing called “resolution” in printing and another term called “DPI”. Many designs are created with software that uses “pixels” for the actual design. That is also called a “raster” image. That is not inherently bad, as photos are made up of millions of pixels and represent more than 16 million (16,000,000) shades of color to give the best image quality. The fewer pixels you have, the less quality you have. So we want a lot of pixels. We don’t have to get into the millions, because the human eye has it’s limitations. Many process use somewhere between 300 dpi and 600 dpi.
Another avenue for imprinting is the use of what is called a “vector” based image. It is made of lines rather than pixels and can be scaled up or down with no loss of resolution or image quality. Below is another image comparing raster and vector images.

In a nutshell, the quality of the artwork is pivotal in determining the overall excellence of the final product. While we are always eager to collaborate using customer-provided artwork, it’s important to recognize that sometimes optimizing this artwork for the highest quality output can be a complex task. Recreating artwork to ensure it’s perfectly usable often demands additional time and incurs extra costs. By entrusting this critical process to our team of experienced professionals, equipped with state-of-the-art software, you can save both time and resources. Our expertise ensures that the artwork not only meets but exceeds quality expectations, seamlessly integrating with our advanced printing techniques.
